About Dr. Chirala

Board-certified in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, Anu Chirala, MD, FACC, is the founder and medical director of South Bay Cardiovascular Center in Morgan Hill, California. She founded the center in 1998 with a true philosophy of giving patients access to a “practice of excellence” in cardiac care by using the latest diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic treatment techniques.

Dr. Chirala received her medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Afterward, she completed her fellowships in cardiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and cardiovascular nuclear medicine at St. Louis University.

With over 30 years of experience in the medical field, her comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience put her at the forefront of her field. Dr. Chirala has a superior ability to connect with patients through excellent interpersonal and communication skills. She is extremely passionate and dedicated to providing high-quality cardiac care to her patients.

Dr. Chirala is affiliated with St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, California, and Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and Santa Clara County Medical Association. She is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

She has worked endless hours with the support of her husband who was the main creator of her technology and innovation. Her children have helped her be who she is and became her role models.
